Tax Manager

Baker Newman Noyes is seeking an individual to manage multiple and challenging engagements. The Tax Manager will be an experienced, energetic, performer committed to providing the highest quality service to a variety of clients in Northern New England.

In this position, you will be responsible for preparing and/or reviewing complex tax returns for corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, individuals and trusts. You will utilize tax research tools to help determine the proper tax treatment of a variety of client transactions. You will also develop client relationships through direct client contact and you will lead less experienced tax accounting staff in their development. You will network extensively with existing and prospective clients. You will also assume a high degree of responsibility and exposure within our firm.

You should have, at a minimum, a BA/BS degree and be a C.P.A. or have an Enrolled Agent Certification, or similar relevant designation. It is preferred that you also have a MS in Taxation or JD / LLM in Taxation.

You will need a strong technical background as a result of at least six years of overall tax experience. This experience should be within a professional services firm or industry. Your client service orientation combined with creative problem solving skills, and strong written and oral skill will be vital in this position.
