Baker Newman Noyes Risk & Business Advisory Practice Adds Four Professionals to Growing Team
Baker Newman Noyes, a nationally-recognized top 100 accounting and advisory firm, deepened its bench of consulting talent with the additions of Steven Webb, PMP as a senior manager, John Rizzo as a manager, and Matan Lushkov and Lauren Eidson as staff members in the growing Risk & Business Advisory (RBA) practice.
From startups to multinational corporations, companies of all sizes and verticals turn to BNN for help with their most complex or out-of-the-box business consulting needs, from a range of information technology, internal control and compliance assessments to outsourced CIO advisory services, digital transformation, business intelligence and much more, all backed by the tax and audit resources of a top 100 accounting firm.
“Unlike other firms where risk assurance and business advisory services tend to be siloed, BNN is unique because of our ability to leverage the resources and expertise of our entire firm to quickly assess, develop and deploy effective solutions to even the most complex business challenges,” said Patrick Morin, principal and director of the RBA practice.
With these hires, BNN affirms its reputation as one of the most highly-qualified, multi-disciplined, integrated risk and business advisory practices in northern New England known for its quality of work and broad-ranging scope of services:
John Rizzo, CPA joined the firm as a manager based in Boston, specializing in internal controls and risk mitigation for the financial services industry. Banking and financial services institutions turn to him for assurance regarding the effectiveness of internal controls systems and adherence to industry laws and regulations, as well as opportunities to enhance the control environment and risk mitigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Rizzo served as the vice president of internal audit of a Boston-based financial services institution. He has experience in both public and private accounting, with a focus on serving SEC and privately held investment management, corporate financial services companies, life and property insurance companies, hedge funds, and broker dealers. He earned a bachelor’s degree in management from Northeastern University and a master’s degree in accountancy from Bentley University.
Steven Webb, PMP joined the firm as a senior manager based in Portland, specializing in operations and information systems development and data management in both financial and non-financial environments. Webb brings many years of experience with companies around the U.S. and the world, having previously worked for a global IT services company based in South Africa. Webb earned a bachelor’s degree in information systems management, with a concentration in accounting and management studies, from the University of Maryland.
Matan Lushkov and Lauren Eidson joined the firm as staff members in the RBA practice in Portland. Eidson specializes in risk services and Lushkov specializes in business advisory and special projects.
“Expanding our team in this way allows us to help more clients with almost any business need they have,” said Morin. “Our team of experienced and knowledgeable professionals help businesses navigate what we call ‘change moments,’ moving them from a current state to a more efficient, goal-focused future state and overcoming challenges along the way. As our clients’ needs continue to expand and evolve, so too, will our practice.”
