Maine Relief Program
We plan to provide more information/analysis on this next week, but Maine-based small businesses should be aware of a new program designed to help neutralize losses related to the COVID-19 pandemic. An overview and FAQs may be found on the state’s website, but in a nutshell, Maine is using some federally-provided relief funds to allow businesses (including non-profit organizations) with 50 or fewer employees grants of as much as $100,000. Applications may be submitted beginning today and ending on September 9. Applicants should be able to demonstrate that the pandemic has resulted in lost revenues.
