Darren originally began in the audit practice with Baker Newman Noyes when the firm was founded in 1995 after previously working with one of our predecessor companies since 1993. From 2000 to 2017, Darren served as the controller, chief financial officer, and ultimately chief executive officer for a Maine-based financial services company.
Darren returned to BNN in May of 2018 in his current role as chief financial officer. In this role, Darren is responsible for all financial management and reporting for the firm, including all accounting transactions and reconciliations, budgeting, financing agreements, tracking day-to-day finance functions, and monitoring effective internal control systems and procedures.
Darren guides strategy through a business-focused, operational approach, with particular focus in financial reporting and analysis, forecasting and budgeting, regulatory compliance, financing structures, risk management, and process improvement.
Darren earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting, cum laude, from James Madison University.
