Matt Vasil

Matt brings nearly 20 years of accounting experience to his role as assurance principal, including 15 years with BNN and five years as the Director of Finance with a large retailer in New Hampshire. At BNN, Matt focuses exclusively on audit and assurance related work with clients within the Commercial Industry Group, which includes sectors such as manufacturing, retail, distribution, as well as construction/real estate clients. His core clients are generally privately held middle market businesses with revenues ranging from $10m to $300m annually and consist of a variety of ownership structures, including ESOP companies and entities controlled by private equity groups.

Matt’s deep industry knowledge and unique perspective are built on his experience serving a diverse range of clients including manufacturers of aluminum cans, organic soils, aerosol valves, heavy equipment, sawmills, breweries, sporting goods, and steel production, amongst others.

He also leads BNN’s construction/real estate assurance practice, covering a variety of general and specialty contractors. Matt regularly attends the AICPA and CFMA’s real estate and construction industry conferences and actively works with CFOs within the industry on the implementation of relevant accounting standard updates.

In addition, Matt has experience working with a variety of nonprofit organizations, including most recently as a Board Member/Treasurer of the Webster House Children’s Home. While not a focus of his client service practice, Matt is passionate about donating his time and accounting expertise to nonprofits and charitable organizations serving the local community.
